Skagway, Alaska - May 3, 2023 - Voyij.com is thrilled to announce that as part of the Locals Onboard Presented by Voyij.com program, Sr. Master Tlingit carver Saat Kaa Fred Fulmer and his wife Ivy will join three sailings aboard the Celebrity Solstice in May, starting on the first Alaskan sailing of the season departing Vancouver on May 3, as well as the much-anticipated President's Cruise leaving Seattle on June 23 with Celebrity Cruises President Lisa Lutoff-Perlman.

During his time onboard, Fred will be carving The Spirit of the Glacier mask and presenting several talks, including his journey as an artist and how the Chookeneidi Clan earned the right to use the Devilfish/Octopus as their clan crest. He will also be sharing Tlingit language, songs, and dances, all part of the Celebrity Cruises enrichment series, Beyond the Podium.

Along with the ship's cruise director, Fred will narrate the multi-hour sailing into Glacier Bay, his ancestral homeland. This unique narration will be broadcast over the loudspeaker for the whole ship to hear, giving passengers a unique insight into the history and culture of the Tlingit people.
