After my dear husband of 50+ years survived a few health-related scares, I decided to experiment with sourdough starter that has been in my family since the late 1890s. Friends and neighbors loved my recipes so much, they encouraged me to make a cookbook and share the tasty treats I had made and shared. The result is this cookbook, Sourdough Cookery, which is filled with dozens of sourdough recipes using everyday ingredients found in most kitchens. It includes recipes for cakes, cookies, pastries, pizza dough, doggie biscuits, and more using less fat, sugar, and salt (although I do share how much real sugar, butter, etc. to use if you have no health concerns!
