These latch-backs are part of our Mermaid Collection. Made from hypoallergenic pewter.
Small yet bold these beauties are functional and a statement piece. Perfect for everyday use, wether you are fishing in the Bering Sea or at the office.
With each piece, the salmon skin is tanned, dyed and coated with epoxy for a waterproof seal. Due to the nature of the material, each has a unique scale pattern and color, making them a one of a kind. We do not catch the salmon for the sole purpose of using their skin for these products. It is a byproduct of the salmon we catch and otherwise would be discarded. We eat the fish and use the skin to share with the world many stories of salmon.

Lifelong commercial fisherman Morgan Edminster fishes Bristol Bay, Alaska, with an all-female crew aboard her boat, the Holly Ann. She has created a jewelry line that is inspired by her hardworking lifestyle harvesting salmon from the ocean.
Morgan works in her home studio in Homer, Alaska. Her small team makes handmade lifestyle jewelry to be worn every day, no matter the conditions.
